I am VC55 (Leicestershire & Rutland) County Co-ordinator for Collembola. This role includes:
  • Acting as a point of contact the taxon group
  • Liaising with national recording schemes and local recorders
  • Help with identification enquiries
  • Publication of a checklist
  • Mentoring
  • Participating in bioblitzes, field meetings and survey programmes
  • Maintaining a database of records available to local partners and the County Recorder Network
  • Writing for websites, blogs, talks and newsletters
